WORKSHOP INFORMATION
A 2-day workshop designed for digital camera users who want to learn the basics of photography. Topics of discussion includes:
• The digital camera, its functions and how it works
• Factors affecting photographic output
• Basic understanding of light
• Exposure setting
• Composition and Elements of a good image
• How to take better pictures
• Basic image enhancement using photoshop
To further develop the participants’ knowledge, this workshop entails
shooting assignments, critiquing, working in a digital darkroom, and a
photo clinic. The workshop also includes:
• Hands-on sessions
• Model shoot
• Photo contest and
• Photo exhibit after the workshop, as a culminating activity, the best
photographs taken during the class will be displayed at The newly
constructed Nayon Filipino art gallery after the workshop. Final
exhibit schedule will be announced during the class.

Class Schedule: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

What to bring: DIGITAL or DSLR Camera, Laptop(optional for third day) and your payment slip.
Notes:
The registration fee includes the 2-day-lunch (May 30-31), 2-day
shuttle services from main gate to Nayon Filipino Clark (shuttle leaves
8:30 AM), model shoots, ID and certificate.
Lodging is not included, although Nayon Filipino is offering an
overnight accommodation in their Nipa Hut airconditioned villas for a
special price. Details will be announced soon.
Extension Option – The workshop may be extended another day (June 6,
2009) to a total of three days for those interested, providing an
additional knowledge in basic image correction and enhancement using
photoshop. Selected images of the participants will be transferred to
the computer for processing in Photoshop along with some stock images.
There they will be evaluated and processing applied to improve the
image. This will include global changes, adjustment layers, selecting
and local changes, followed by image size modifications and sharpening
prior to printing.
LECTURER INFORMATION
Victor Sison has a photographic history stretching back over 30 years
and includes photography workshops taken throughout the country and
other parts of the world. Victor is considered as one of the finest and
most love photography instructor in the Philippines and one of the few
educator who incorporated old school photography to fine art to digital
magic, and is known in the industry as the “Paintographer”.
Vic’s work includes landscapes, documentaries, and portraits. His work
has been in many juried art shows and has totaled 6 one-man and group
exhibitions (painting and photography) with several awards in
photography in his sleeves. Many of his images have been seen in
newspaper and magazine articles. His works also included in a photo
book on the flower festival in Baguio and an upcoming book on Ilocos
Sur.
Victor Sison is a Fine Arts graduate of FEATI University and a Managing
Art Program graduate of Asian Institute of Management (AIM). He was a
resident photographer at Malacanang during Marcos time. He was also a
faculty of PWU, TUP, and FEU. Currently, he is a Board of Director of
the Federation of Philippine Foundation (FPPF) and a resident lecturer
of the FPPF and Photo World Manila. He is also a consultant to a list
of Photography firms in the country.
Note:
Guest Photographers from Angeles City and Manila will be invited to
share their views, tips, experiences in the field of photography.
REGISTRATION
Registration fee is P2500. Cash or check payment can be made at the
Picture Window (3rd floor Nepo Mall, Angeles City), through assigned
workshop representatives or through bank deposit.
In order to assure each participant adequate attention, workshop size
was limited. Interested participants are requested to preregister by
placing a partial payment of at least P1000 (nonrefundable) before May
22, 2009. Those who pay in full on or before the deadline will be given
a special gift during the workshop. All participants should pay the
full amount on the first day of class.
